Ikigai: Giving every day meaning and joy
by Yukari Mitsuhashi
I liked this book, it definitely wasn't a favorite but I found the interviews really interesting and I loved the aesthetic of the book overall. I think it's really interesting delving into different cultures and seeing things that are important to them. I got a lot from this book, and there are some things I believe weren't very helpful in the book, the author does mostly just say that your ikigai takes time to find and how it's really important, but I believe it does take time to find out about yourself nontheless. Although, another downside I believe is that the author said your ikigai doesn't have to follow with your work but then she mostly only gave examples of having workplace ikigai. But I also feel as though there are some quotes from the book that will stick with me for awhile, so overall it was a nice and short read.
