I haven’t read a non-fantasy romance in some time and this just solidified why I don’t stray from that genre very much. The entire time I read this, all I could think of is “what is the point of this?” There was no character development. There was no conflict that needed resolving or obvious end goal of the story. Why is she always crying and talking about her period?
The FMC is mad at her husband for hiding a son with a previous girlfriend prior to their marriage but then she moves away to Paris for a year and cheats on him with someone half her age. AND THEN GETS PREGNANT WITH A BABY WHO WILL BE THE SAME AGE AS HER GRANDCHILD. (I know some people like age gap romances and for the most part, I didn’t mind it other than the cheating aspect, but the last bit just was too much)
And I am SO mad about the ending.
The only saving grace was that I enjoyed the Parisian aspect of things as well as the trips to other countries.
