I wanted to like this but ultimately felt very pulled out of the narrative by the whip-fast romance. The celebrity angle felt like it had more potential but was difficult to connect with in practice. Nor was I surprised or compelled by other parts of book. If you're in the mood for a silly historical re-write and have the imagination to flesh out the narrative, then this book might suit you. Sending good vibes to the author and all those who enjoyed this book!
