Hannah Brencher, has a way with words. She is terribly honest, incredibly witty, truthfully wise, & INSANELY down to earth. each chapter, i felt like i was reading a long text or listening to a voice memo from a friend/mentor who was giving me her honest life experiences & what she learned from them & how to navigate them. she saw meaning in everything & her ability to retell her story of depression, uncertainty, loneliness, & friendship was BEYOND BEAUTIFUL. i started reading the book with a pen/highlight in hand to annotate & journal as i went, but i quickly got to a point where reading each chapter took forever because every other sentence was worth underlining & dissecting, so i put the pen down & just read it. i could go on & on about each of the 20 chapters of this book. & finishing the book on my 21st birthday felt like a breakthrough in a way. call me a crazy over-analytic & self absorbed person, but it felt like i was reading a letter of 20 life lessons for each of my 20 years. if i ever meet Hannah in real life, i imagine just giving her the biggest hug.
