i loved the concept of this being a “biography” of evelyn, as if her storytelling to monique was what the book monique was going to write. as a bisexual, i really connected with evelyn’s character, the complexity of her sexuality and place in the world as a beautiful and creative woman. she is also cunning, cutthroat, and is not afraid to push for what she wants, even using her own body. her relationships with harry, celia, and connor were all that mattered, and the author, taylor, made each relationship ending very heartbreaking. this book makes you remember what relationships mean the most, and that nothing else matters. it will make you mourn your loved ones before they have passed. but it will empower you to push for your happiness, your passions. taylor questions what is human, and shows that most humans are a mixture of good and bad, somewhere in the middle
