Assassin's Creed: Forsaken
by Andrew Holmes, Oliver Bowden
To read Haytham's story was heartbreaking, but through it I have gained so much more respect and love for a character that I already regarded highly. His story was detailed so well and made so much sense with regards to the events in the game. I needed to hear his side of the story ; I am glad I did. I wished it ended differently and that he and Connor could've reconciled, instead of ending in his death, but he did so standing by what he did. Honestly, I mourned him when I killed him in game( I will never forgive the creators for making me do so, mostly jesting), and now more so after discovering that he was a man taken by the people who ruined his family, a man of respect and honor, a man of hope once , and a man who lost his faith; I both mourn him more and I am endeared to him even more.
