Dark Promises by Christine Feehan

3.0

More like a 3.5 for me, but not an all out 4 stars... It's actually almost difficult to believe that this was a Carpathian's novel. There was far too much sex, hardly any plot, and Aleksi was a controlling ass. Though I didn't like Gabrielle much better, she was a simpering, whimpering, crying dishrag. In fact, I think I would have liked this book a lot better had Trixie and Fane been the main focus, instead of a secondary plotline. Though I do like the intriguing gifts that Teagan, Trixie and Gabrielle have, and I do hope it means that it'll make it easier for the ancients to find their lifemates.
