Genuinely baffled by the generally positive ratings. I found it quite slow, and midway through the audiobook intended to give it three stars. That was before 20+ mins dedicated to describing rape in unnecessarily gratuitous detail (e.g.
a detailed description of a rapist ejaculating in his victim's mouth at the same time as he was stabbed in the throat by another woman.
This scene was referenced more than once). The author's scatological obsession was also a bit much.
