I think it's safe to say that I'm a Moreno-Garcia super fan. I absolutely adore how she spins a tale of mystery that connects gothic tropes with social justice issues and put her own new spin on how readers may see and experience the world. This setting of this book absolutely came alive for me and I yearned to see it in real life.
Not to mention, Moreno-Garcia's character development is unparalleled. She builds up characters who act in surprising yet whole-heartedly believable ways-such a rarity!
