I ended up DNFing this about halfway through. I expected it to be similar to the first in the series, but unfortunately, it was not. It didn't have the quirky funny vibes that Betwixt had.
One good thing about it is the romance between Defiance and Roane made progress. I really like Roane, and I would love to read more about him. Sadly, I don't think I'm going to continue with the series. Bummer, because I love witchy books.
