This book has cemented Derek Harrington as one of my all time favorite characters ever. He is a truly good person. Of course, he is not without flaws, continuing to struggle with using alcohol as a cooping mechanism, control his rage, and overall manage his PTSD. However, he is trying so hard to be better for his family, and he shows empathy and compassion to those who lost their lives as a result of his operation when many others do not. And my favorite part of his character, he completely and totally detests FBI politics and has no problems displaying such disdain to his higherups. Derek is seriously amazing! The other characters were also great. I loved the team that Derek got to work, and I did really enjoy that we got Sarah’s point of view. Of course, the action in this book was also fantastic. I need a movie made of this because the scenes were so cinematic! I will say that for me there was a bit of an overload of technical information on the weapons/tools, but I know some will love it. Overall, I highly recommend this book!
