Every Waking Hour by Joanna Schaffhausen

The Ellery Hathaway series just gets better and better. If you have not read the previous 3 this is a great place to start. Enough of their background is given so you understand the relationship between police Detective Ellery Hathaway and FBI director Reed Markham, and you do not really need to know that in order to follow their work in figuring out who has kidnapped a 12-year-old child. The end is fabulous especially since it is not really the end. A long-ago unsolved murder that was uncovered during the investigation and thought perhaps connected to the current case is also solved. And boy, what a surprise it was.
