Wild Wolf by Caroline Peckham

3.5

i cannot believe this is the last book of all the series. i will miss the adventures for sure. can't wait to read Never Keep when it comes out.

alright, let's dive in.

going from those long ZA books to DP was hard. i always wanted more. and that's exactly what i have to say with this book. you can tell it's rushed, normally more bad things would happen and more heartbreak.

this isn't a bad book because of it, but i really wish we could have seen some things more in-depth.

like i would have loved more Sin/Max/Tiberius. i would have also loved to see more of the battles and a longer scene of Sin and Rosa becoming mated, like in RB. i also am shocked by how little spice is in this book compared to literally all their other books.

i do think it was fitting that Rosa didn't birth any kids, but found them and took them in. it totally speaks to her character. i also love that Sin is actually a really good dad despite his ways.

also super cute to see Cain settle down and be a good dad too. despite all the horrors he also saw from his childhood.

gosh Hastings reminded me of Xavier so much. i love when the twisted sisters write such unlucky characters, it makes me laugh harder than i should!

favorite quote:

“Faster maybe, but speed doesn’t equal skill,” Cain clipped.

"You sound like my old professor, and he was always such a sore loser too,” Hornrider said, his grin only widening.

"Nice name by the way,” I commented and his casual smile dropped a little.

“Someone else signed me up when I first came here and you can’t change it once it’s assigned,” he grumbled.
