Beautifully written, which is to be expected from Holly Black. The beginning felt like a much softer and fluffy fairytale, like a children’s story, but the book weaves in the darkness of the story so well; like ink bleeding into a page.

My only complaint is at times the pacing felt off, but it did not ruin the story for me at all.
