Friggin' amazing!
It's not often that I am completely caught off guard by a book but this one knocked my socks to buh-jezus and back. Every time I thought "Oh, I know where this is going..." WRONG! I ran the gamut of emotions with this book: Anger, hatred, confusion, pity. It left me reeling for the rest of the night and most of the week.
I'm disappointed that I can't actually tell you more about the book in this review. Honestly, to divulge more than the back cover of the book would be saying too much. There is little I can write that won't give the whole thing away but...WOW.
Even if you've already seen the movie, this book is something to check out. The prose is beautifully poetic. Everything about this story is heartbreaking and visceral and beautiful and is a MUST READ for any thriller fan.
