i'm so TORN ON THIS. don't get me wrong, this book is beautifully written and its messages are great, but i found myself just so bored, especially in the first half? i think part of the reason i wasn't vibing with this is simply because i'm just in a reading slump, which is 100% on me (no, literally, if i try to do anything but play baldur's gate 3 lately i just sit there, wishing i was playing bg3 instead of whatever it is i'm doing.) if i read this when i wasn't in such a state of brainrot, i'm sure i would've liked it a lot more than i did. but i didn't, and so once again i put another book back on my shelf, wondering when the day will come when i'll be able to read something that can hold my attention more than romancing a morally grey vampire in a rpg video game...
