One-Touch Pass by J.J. Mulder
5.0

I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book, as this was the story I was waiting for since reading Save the Game and I absolutely adored it. It was everything I wanted and more.

Marcos, baseball player, grumpy, protector and best friend to Max, is still living with the trauma of what happened to Max in Save the Game, and what he feels was his role in that. Marcos has an aversion to touch which majorly impacts his life and happiness.

Nate, the hockey playing, sunshine, horse loving cowboy, who we met in On the Edge, spots Marcus at a party and is instantly enthralled. I absolutely loved watching their story unfold, spanning over a year, parallel to the previous two books in the series.

Nate is just the most beautiful human and a perfect match for Marcus. He is so patient, kind, warm and respectful and oh so amusing, especially when trying to discuss his feelings and declarations of beauty! We also witness these traits with Nate’s friendship with the shy and introverted hockey goalie, Micky. Many moments made me laugh out loud!

I’m so glad Marcos identified that he needed to see some professional health and seemed it out, he wanted to be better for himself and also so he could move forward with relationships in his life.

I love reading about Nate’s backstory and his passion for his horse and farm life. Sharing this with Marcus was exactly what he needed and I adored this stage of their relationship.

This story was a continuation of healing for Max and ultimately Marcos. I absolutely adored the moments between these two and of course Luke, who was a kindred spirit to Nate.

This was the perfect edition to this series and along Save the Game, is definitely my favourite. I wanted to reread this as soon as I finished and I could not recommend it highly enough.
