It's genuinely a good book and the writing is powerful, raw, rattling. There was this sense of pure malice that just radiated from every page and in this way, the author should feel very accomplished. I felt every wound on my own body, cried, felt empty when I was done reading. I give it 5 stars in terms of the prose's sheer power. But I cannot honestly recommend it to others and feel sick for having read it.
