Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

5.0

I think Alice has meticulously pointed out the life a high school teenager. We get pressurised to be someone different than we are in deep down. I loved her writing. I loved the way she carried on with the story bit by bit. It wasn't like we were getting to know every single day of the protagonist but the important ones, where she fought with herself, where she felt distressed, while she thought this is the end of everything and yet kicked arses to shine again.

About the characters, I loved how easy and lovely Frances and Aled's friendship was. The way their relationship developed was something I can relate to. Reminded me of my weirdy best friends. The character I think showed how most of the teenagers felt. I loved Raine Sengupta, she's reminded me someone very important in my life.
After reading this book I feel a lot like Carys. When she said

"I wish I could be subtle and beautiful. All I know to do is scream"

I got you girl, I know how to scream only.

"Hello, I hope somebody is listening" While Aled was crying for help Frances came to the rescue as she was listening. Listen to your friends and family. Take care of your close ones. I hope we all are listening to the desperate silence of our near ones in distress.
