splitdice 's review for:
Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster
by Jon Krakauer
adventurous
challenging
dark
sad
fast-paced
i had to put this book down at some parts because it got way too intense and i had to process it. i cant believe doing something like this and surviving.
i think krakauer does an excellent job of portraying this tragedy. that being said, dont come in here expecting a solid, 100% fact verified truth about what happened. i dont think anyone will ever know truly what happened up there
my only complaint is that i wish this was released maybe a year or two later, though i understand writing this book was critical to his processing of events
