On Thin Ice by L.A. Cotton
5.0

On Thin Ice is a captivating hate-to-want-her book with well-developed characters. The story revolves around Mason’s inner battle, who is torn between chasing his dream and staying to help his family. The main characters, Harper and Mase, have a complicated relationship where Mase initially comes off as a prick but it is revealed that his behavior is driven by his desire for Harper, but later reveals his caring and protective side towards her. The way he cares for his little brother is heartwarming and adds depth to his character.
Harper is a sweet and selfless girl who is haunted by her abusive father, but is always willing to help others. Her relationship with Scottie is a beautiful aspect of the story.
The friendship between the hockey guys is also enjoyable to read about. The book also highlights the bond between the guys and their girlfriends, making it a heartwarming found-family story.

The story touches on themes of family, chasing dreams, and overcoming personal struggles. Overall, if you are looking for a good hockey romance with lovable lead characters and a satisfying happy ending, "On Thin Ice" is a must-read.
