Well finihsed this book today and to use food as an analogy, my overall review for the book is that it was like a meal that although left me a bit satisfied and had many highlights, it left me mostly underwhelmed.

***SPOILERS AHEAD8888

The main characters were so 'blah'. I had no real empthay or sympathy for their plight. The hero was so 'beige. There was no motivation and I found the fact he had stayed chaste for ten years since his one night with 'Cinderella' laughable. I know that you have let go some relms of reality, but this was just to much. I didn't even have any hopes that he got the girl in the end.

As for the heroine. Well, she really deserved to be slapped across the head to knock some sense in her. The fact, as the hero pointed out, she stayed in his employment after his brother died, even though she knew who he was, lacked any sense. She said to him that she knew their was no real future, but she still wanted him to love her food.... *shakes head*. The bit that really made me throw the book down at the complete numptyness of the heroine was towards the end of the book when her aunt after explaining all her reasons for how she acted towards her niece, then thanks the hero for the offer of marrige as she can now accept her niece back into the family. Now any heroine who has the love of her prince, would stick out her tounge and say thanks but no thanks, yet after everything her family has done, the heroine THANKS the hero for bring back her family.

There are some good points to the book and that was mainly the romance between the two secondary characters, the hero's fiance and his secretary. That was a joy to read.

It hasn't put me off of Thomas, as I enjoyed private arrangments, but this is not a good book in my opinion
