A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn
Did not finish book. Stopped at 54%.
This book sucked sooooo bad. I really tried to finish it because I really hate dnf’ing books, but I just couldn’t.
The characters were the most annoying MC’s ever. My God, Lottie had this habit of word vomit that was so cringe to read about I legitimately experienced second hand embarrassment 90% of the time she opened her mouth. Huxley (what a stupid name) has the emotional intelligence of a rock. This man has as much depth as a puddle in the street you might walk across. And yet, he seems to be the most empathetic billionaire in the world. He is a conundrum I have no interest in ever solving. If there is a HEA I for sure know these two will get divorced in the future.
The writing style was incredibly juvenile and bland. Nothing is left to the imagination in this book because quite literally EVERYTHING is stated and then restated 5 more times to really drive home the points. It was wholly unnecessary!
The only thing A Not So Meet Cute has going for itself is the smut. But it wasn’t enough for me to finish.
