A fast and fun work of modern fiction, but nothing particularly grand about it. I did enjoy the concepts of antique gods living ramshackle lives in America and that the Native Americans had it right all along.
The narrative and tone was generally tight but occasionally felt asynchronous. This could be because I read the ‘Author’s Preferred’ version of the novel.
