An expansive novel about nature, god, and existence in some of the most expressive prose I’ve ever read. If you enjoyed Richard Powers’ Overstory, you’ll probably like this one too.

As with stories about surviving in the wilderness, this one can be a bit repetitive. Not sure what else can be done about that. I mean, if you’d avoid getting your toes wet in a running stream or if you care little about the trees, there’s not much here that’ll interest you, I’m afraid.
