You’ve all heard of this series, and maybe wondered to yourself, “what’s it all about?” Or even, “is it worth reading?” In my opinion, IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT! If you want an easy, fun, yet harrowing story of a group of young women trying to survive after being abducted by aliens only to finally themselves saved by seven feet tall, blue, gorgeous aliens, then this is the book to read. This first book introduced Georgie, our FMC, and automatic leader for the group of women. After crash landing on a seemingly deserted ice planet, Georgie tries to find a way to help the girls, and instead finds herself saved by, Vektal. Vektal was a hunter, and the day he found Georgie, he knew he had found his MATE! Ruby Dixon’s writing has always been one I find myself constantly addicted to and unable to put down, and this book was equally enjoyable as the other books I’ve read by her. Who would have thought I loved reading about a young woman falling in love with an ALIEN!? Haha.

I don’t care what anyone else says, I’m addicted to this book and now I must read the rest of the series! Georgie was a great FMC, especially to start off the series. Georgie found herself becoming a leader of sorts in the group, and while she was afraid for her life, she found a way to help the others. Plus, it wasn’t all too bad as Georgie found herself sharing warmth and other hot, steamy moments with Vektal.

From the moment, Vektal was introduced, he had this endearing quality to him that was sweet and further showed how obsessed he was with Georgie. Vektal was a warrior, a chief, and a hopeless romantic when it came to Georgie. I absolutely ADORED whenever Vektal called Georgie, “my sweet resonance” AWWWW HOW CUTE! Vektal and Georgie initially had trouble communicating due to the language barrier between them, but even early on they found a way to communicate through their own ways, and it was really nice to see it all play out. While I’m sure Vektal was more than ready to settle down with Georgie from the moment they met, I really appreciated how understanding and patient he was with her when it came to trying to figure everything out. Vektal was also a great MMC for this first book, and (sigh) I really liked him!

I was in the mood for a monster romance, and instead found myself reading this alien romance that unlocked a new type of book series that I am eagerly excited to continue reading. This first book had a bit of everything from spice, romance, some plot, and lovable characters, but also some hard topics so please be aware before reading this book. Ruby Dixon wrote this first book in a way that hooked me immediately and it safe to say she has once again ensnared me with her fun, creative, and addictive stories. This whole story played out in a way that perfectly set up the next book and its main couple. I have no doubt the more I read the books, the more I’ll get to see how each couple gets their own stories, and how their futures play out on the ice planet they’ve found themselves living on. Georgie and Vektal will most likely appear in the other books, and I also have no doubt I’ll be happy to see them again, and they’ll be living a great life together. Highly recommend if you want to dip your toes in alien romances, as well as an easy, short, fast paced storyline with interesting characters, and equally steamy spice.
