I'm really fond of the Norse myths and this retelling presented such an interesting perspective. It touches on many of the classic Norse tales that I'm familiar with, but the protagonist is one that is often overlooked, and the author was able to believably develop the characters where the original myths are quite sparse due to the minimal existing records. The facts of the myths are so incredibly outlandish in nature, but presented in such a way to be perfectly reasonable in universe. Suspension of disbelief is required, but it's a myth, so that's a given.

I felt like this book was able to make the circular nature of Ragnarok and time in general feel comprehensible, satisfying, and oddly hopeful.
