This seems to be Amanda Palmer's follow up to her TED talk on the same idea - just bigger. I got the audio book (written, read, sung, and performed by the author), which I found very enjoyable because it didn't sound narrated, but more like a very nice conversation with an old friend. I was expecting this book to be more of a "how to" about asking, but it turned out to be more of a memoir, which was ok, but not really what I was looking for. I also felt it skipped around quite a bit and that made it hard to follow, but that could be the nature of the audio edition. Anyway, to sum up: Amanda Palmer tells her story of how she made it big on Kickstarter and a whole lot more. The book was good because I liked Amanda as a person. Get the audio edition so that you can hear her voice and the Ukulele Anthem. It's great.
