French Fancy by Lily Morton

5.0

French Fancy by Lily Morton is a beautiful romance set mostly in the South of France. Pip is recovering from scarlet fever and pneumonia and he's still very weak. His boss, in London, sends him to the villa he owns with his brother to rest and heal. The brother, Olivier, shows up st the villa. The two meet and wind up spending time together, seeing the sites, and getting to know one another.
It is beautifully written. Gorgeous descriptions make the reader feel like they are there. The characters are flawed and multidimensional.
I was swept away to Paris, London, and the South of France. Olivier is a perfume magnate and throughout the book, scents are described in such detail that I could almost smell them myself. The intimate scenes are hot. The romantic scenes are charming. And the banter is cute. Both men are larger than life and had me laughing often. They also have some trauma in their lives that gives them depth. It's a lovely book. I highly recommend it.
