Story is incredibly intriguing. However, there is way too much “telling” and not enough “showing,” as well as too much about the characters and not the actual plot itself. I did enjoy it, but wish that the lore, plot, and world was expanded on more, especially as this is such an interesting idea. The prologue had me immediately wrapped, only for that feeling to not be followed up with in the rest of the book.
