The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky

4.0

"In moments of intense joy he always grew sad, he could not himself have said why."

This was a sad book for me, but one that made me think and one that I will revisit. Nastasya Filipovna's story was tragic and every time she appeared and anything that was said to or about her made me sad.

The characters in this were overall fascinating and I enjoyed Myshkin so much.

Dostoevsky is great for making me think. I love reading his books. They are disturbing, but thought provoking.
