I found the book super underwhelming.

The opening (present day) section felt long and arduous, I assume it was meant to give us a glimpse into her unfulfilled life, but I couldn't really connect to a lot of it.

And then the first time she goes back to the past, is quite long and drawn out, although this was probably my favourite part of the book, as she tried to figure out what's happened and how to handle it.

Unfortunately from that point on, it feels like the author forgot to actually write the rest of the book - there are so many chapters that are just two paragraphs and feel like a short summary of a novel rather than a novel in its own right.

And then at the end, there's apparently been some great character development... except I don't feel like we ever actually saw her experience anything that made her reflect and grow into the mindset she's in by the end. It feels like the author knew what the 'typical' takeaway ending should be, and just put the character in it without making any moves to actually get her there in the plot.
