This volume was definitely more plot-centric than the past two volumes.  I felt this grounded me grounded me into a timeline (getting the events of the other books in order), and it reinforced that the previous scenes are part of a bigger picture.  It shows that...
while Kirishima has vastly improved, he still is very much flawed and has more to learn in regards to self control.  He has the new drive and purpose, but he needs to harness his rage.
