Steppenwolf
by Hermann Hesse
Had to have a couple of cracks at this one (stopped and restarted). The first half of the book was a bit of a drag with Harry/Steppenwolf cruising around doing his own thing. I'm not sure if that was because I haven't been to these darker mental places that Harry seemed to dwell in almost all of the time OR because I thought bro was a bit of a snob.
I did however start to get really into it after Hermione was introduced and things started ramping up (the Dream Theatre portion towards the end was particularly eye opening).
Definitely worth a read just to hear some of Hesse's philosophical ideas especially regarding personality (not reducing and limiting yourself to trad binary ideas of what your personality is/can be).
