This book made me cry multiple times. What a tough but brilliant read. Ove is a character that you can't help but love, despite how much of an arse he acts. Funny, poignant and with a diverse range of well-developed characters. Found family from the perspective of the oldest "grandad" in the group is not a version of this trope that is seen very often and it was so great to see it develop organically over the novel. Highly highly reccomend this book but make sure you have tissues to hand and definitely check content warnings first as suicidal thoughts/attempts feature heavily in this book
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt, Death, and Grief
Moderate: Homophobia, Fatphobia, and Death of parent
Minor: Child abuse and Domestic abuse
