The first half of the book was a little slow, but I think that was because the author did a lot of world building and character development in the beginning. I feel like even though it was a slow start, it was worth it. The author did a great job creating a lot of depth within the characters and the world. Once I was about 45% in, the plot really picked up. I really look forward to reading the next book in this series.
