Komi Can't Communicate, Vol. 3 by Tomohito Oda

4.0

The pool section is a chance for the boys to be creepy, but Tadano is sweet as always. Shoko and her dad are precious, and I like how this book explores how it's possible for socially awkward people to be uncomfortable even around family. Yamai is gross as always, but Najimi gets better and better. The festival is a really cute exploration of the evolution of both Shoko's and Tadano's feelings for one another. One of my favorite things about this series is the budding romance because Tadano is kind and considered out Shoko's feelings and respectful of her boundaries. I find that a billion times more appealing than the rapey bad boy trope.
