I liked the deconstruction and reinterpretation of Cinderella's story. It just felt kind of corny at times for a book that's kind of dark, maybe because it's a fairytale. 

I don't think it truly gripped me at any point. I do love Amina's character though
and I kind of wish we got more explanation for her choices at the end. Like what side was she ultimately on? It just didn't really make sense.
