The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing

I can’t rate this. It was obviously incredibly painstakingly researched, Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing has clear passion for her subject, and the concept and idea for the book are extremely interesting (especially considering how pessimistically human disruption of forests is almost always considered). However, I found the book really difficult to get through. There were many chapters that got seriously technical in terms of biological and economic schools of thought, and I wish it had felt more like a story.
