Overthinking, Obsessing, and Overanalyzing: A Comprehensive Guide to Understanding, Managing, and Overcoming Intrusive Thoughts and Obsessive-Compulsive ... by Richard Banks

4.0

this book didn’t feel like a self help and that’s what i liked. it serves as a tool to help readers understand and cope with if they personally have or if they know someone with a mental illness. it breaks down overthinking, obsessing and overanalyzing very well and it’s explained very simply! it goes on providing further knowledge about OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and in my opinion, there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding the disorder. but this book described it in a way that made me understand the condition even more. it’s good to be knowledgeable about the things happening to you or the people around you. this book outlines why and how to cope with or support someone with OCD. after awhile it did get repetitive but i guess repetition is a literary device used to emphasize the writing.

the free chapter at the end was everything! if you want to understand more about OCD, overthinking, obsessing and overanalyzing…read this ;)
