I love the concept of a mercenary and a mortician who sees dead people having to partner up and work together for a common goal and ultimately fall for each other, but the writing was just so bad. I literally hated Cal’s perspective, and the author really thinks she has something special with a playlist/soundtrack list included… and it’s just cringe. Wish it took itself more seriously.
And I’m starting to feel the longer a book is, the worse it actually is. Cause too much time is spent yapping about shit that doesn’t really matter.
