A War of Gifts by Orson Scott Card

4.0

If you’re a fan of the Ender universe this is a great little addition by Card in the form of a short story that continues to remind us of the tragedy of children at war and the hope that can be found when they fight for one another. It’s a simple yet profound story that no doubt has its roots in the fundamental legalistic religion of the old mountain towns of the Carolina’s where Card is from. I hope Card will return and introduce us to more short stories of the many years of battle school!
