Oh, the aftermath of the affair. So messy, but also fun to read about. I love how this story sucked me into a world of hurt and betrayal and lust and love. It became less about the affair here, than in the previous two books, and more about Elle and Sinclair's developing D/s relationship. Their scenes were quite lovely and watching Elle bloom (through my voyeur tinted perspective) under Sinclair's love and discipline was beautiful. How freeing it is to own your sexuality and trust your partner not to take advantage of your submission.
Though there was a lot of guilty feelings and processing how their affair took its toll on many people in their lives, but when the right person comes along, who are we to deny ourselves? It's a lovely moral question everyone will have to answer for themselves. Are we cowards to not chase our own happiness? Is guilt more powerful than true love? We make our choices and deal with the consequences. I enjoyed this story.
