A collection of short stories surrounding the characters of the Scum Villain world. I see these stories in three categories. The first is the daily life of the original characters. To be blunt, these are unnecessary and boring. I wasn't engaged whatsoever. The second are the backstories to some minor characters, which were incredibly captivating short form stories that really developed both the world and the cast. The third are the more eccentric 'what-if' style stories, with extraordinary events, which were broader in quality, and neither as necessary to the series as the previous type nor a complete waste of time like the first. If you like the series there's no reason not to try this book.
Graphic: Slavery
Moderate: Fire/Fire injury, Toxic relationship, Sexual violence, Torture, and Violence
Minor: Transphobia
There's a derogatory use of the t-slur that caught me off guard, aside from the expected levels of dark content present in this series.
