This felt like I was reading snapshots of the intertwined lives of people in a world just two steps to the left of mine. It was both jarring and deeply impactful. It's such a beautiful character-driven story, that I actually think some plot points and dystopian elements got in the way of the story. The pacing was also an issue sometimes because it felt like a few interesting character beats were rushed. But I really enjoyed this story and the way different perspectives and timelines were woven together.
