One of the reasons the first book didn't land well for me was because I felt like the characters were just drawn to each other physically and I wanted to see more normal moments between them. so the second book was an improvement as we saw them actually be together. It was also nice to see more of Lex's personality. Overall I don't feel super hyped about this story and still think it could have worked as just one novel.
