Something about Living by Lena Khalaf Tuffaha

challenging inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

I was so thrilled to see this collection win the national book award for poetry. The UA press is near and dear to my heart as the press that published my first poem, where I interned as an MFA candidate, and where my mentors and peers passionately work. And the fact that this collection is so timely, transparent, and raw in the face of the war on Palestine gives me a shred of hope in humanity. Even if the world is going to shit, people are still reading and writing and Lena Khalaf Tuffaha’s recognition means people still love each other and are working toward the collective good.
