4.5

Favorite moments:
- GREYSON. JERI. SUPREMACY. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK I LOVE IT.
- Maybe it was just me being desperate because all the "romances" in this trilogy were bland as fuck but regardless GREYSON JERI SUPREMACY
- That ending okay I'll admit that was a nice ending. Not a big Citra/Rowan shipper but that was a nice ending.
- That fail-safe damn.... I'm still unsatisfied though WHAT WAS THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE SCYTHE RINGS NEAL? DON'T TEASE US AND LEAVE US WITHOUT AN ANSWER
- Can I just say, I can't believe the fucking Tonists would have such an instrumental role like I thought they were just a quirk of worldbuilding and were to be relegated as just a footnote but NOO THEY WERE REALLY FUCKING IMPORTANT
- The entries from Curate Symphonius were super interesting as they were glimpses into the future, nice fodder for the reader's wonder

Why I thought it was 4.5 stars:
THIS. WAS. EXHILARATING. Once again I have binge read another book in this series and though I didn't do it from start to finish, I think I read a similar amount of pages to the first book, or dare I say even more. So clearly yeah that definitely contributed to the extra 0.5 but also GREYSON JERI. I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR GREYSON JERI. BEST CHEMISTRY IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING SERIES. Maybe Neal Shusterman is finally understanding romance because not only did he manage to write Greyson/Jeri but that Citra/Rowan ending was.... actually really good??

In conclusion read the Scythe series you will not be disappointed.
