Her Greatest Mistake by Hannah Cowan

5.0

It’s Hannah Cowan’s kickoff to her 2nd-generation series!! Her Greatest Mistake follows Maddox Hutton (Oakley and Ava’s oldest son) and his childhood best friend turned enemy/stranger turned lover, Braxton. I was so excited to get this ARC from Hannah and ended up binging this 4.5 start read in 1 day.

Maddox and Braxton, former childhood best friends secretly in love with each other haven’t seen or communicated in years after Braxton’s father almost derailed Maddox’s career. When Maddox’s career is threatened by Braxton’s father again, these childhood friends turned strangers are reunited to fake date to help Maddox’s image and disprove Braxton’s father’s claims. However, nothing is fake between the two, and although they may start off again as strangers, does childhood love ever really fade?

This fake dating, childhood friends to enemies to strangers to friends to lovers story kept me hooked. It was so nice to get back into the Cowan-verse and I can’t wait to follow the rest of the 2nd-generation characters in their stories after getting Maddox and Braxton’s story!
