Love... It's Complicated
by Jeannine Colette
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Love is definitely complicated in this story of heartbreak and healing! We follow Melissa and Will navigate an unusual meet cute and the complicated timeline of their love. Will is a police officer who meets Melissa when she gets arrested for breaking and entering into a salon of the woman who her husband had an affair with. Melissa is a single mother of two adorable children and she designs beautiful weddings for couples while her business partner plans the whole thing! Together they just make sense!! The way Will shows Melissa all the love she deserves is completely swoon worthy! Melissa gets too in her head about things because of past trauma and this story really highlights the effects of trauma that a person may not even realize is trauma and can be helped by talking to a professional. I appreciated that representation of mental issues that can come from terrible circumstances in your life even when from appearances you shouldn’t have anything to complain about! It showed the importance of communication and self care even if there are others relying on you and I think that is an important message for everyone. Overall, I enjoyed this book so much and I’m definitely going to be reading the next one!
